Access to information manual
This manual sets out how to ask Nija for a record and where to send the request, the personal information Nija keeps, why it keeps it, who receives it and how it is protected. It reports what is recorded, which is a different claim from what exists. Nothing here states that anything is complete or in order.
How to make a request
Email your request to Nija's privacy contact. Say who you are and how Nija can reach you; whether the record is about you, about another person you act for (and what authority you hold to act for them), or any other record; and describe the records you want. If what you want is your own account's data, you can also download a signed copy yourself under Settings, Your data and privacy.

How Nija processes personal information
Purposes of processing
Nija processes the minimum personal information needed to provide the service: your email or phone (for sign-in), usage and billing records, and the prompts you send to the models you select. Nija does not sell personal information, and sends direct-marketing email only if you opt in. The Privacy Policy sets this out.
Recipients and the countries their information goes to
This lists the third parties a Nija compliance officer has registered as processing personal information on our behalf: who they are, what we use each of them for, which categories of personal information reach them, and which country they are in. It reports what is registered, which is a different claim from what exists. It does not state that the list is complete, that a transfer to any listed party is permitted, or that anything is in order.
No processing operator is registered. That is an absence of a record, not a statement that no third party processes personal information on our behalf, and not a statement that anything is in order.
Security measures
Nija is hosted in-region in Cape Town, and account and billing data are stored in-region; inference is routed to the provider you select, which may run outside Africa. You control Zero-Data-Retention and "never train on my data" under Settings, Data Sovereignty, and a data region you set is enforced: chat web search and document upload, which cannot run inside your region, are turned off. Only you can export your data or request your account's deletion; a Nija support operator acting on your behalf cannot. The Privacy Policy sets this out.
For how Nija handles personal information generally, and the rights you have over it, see the Privacy Policy.
